Middle Leadership Programme
October 8, 2007
Dear Colleagues,
The BSA Middle Leadership Programme, written and devised specifically for BSA schools and middle leaders, will be provided again in 2008 for colleagues from across our schools. Feedback from the first two groups of participants and head teachers has been welcomed and we are always ready to amend aspects of the programme to reflect these comments and to incorporate the latest research and thinking regarding middle leadership. During the last programme, we included a visit to a US school to observe and discuss leadership and learning in a US context at first hand. We are hoping to organize a similar visit in next year's programme.
If you would like any more information than that given here, please contact either Pam Harper or have a chat with anyone from your school who has participated in the programme.
The programme will be offered to 16 middle leaders - including some administrators - across the group of schools. The format of the programme is two x four days (equivalent) 'taught' modules with additional self directed learning and reflection. This will allow travel to the venue on the Monday of each week followed by the four days of the programme.
The first week will be from Tuesday 4th March until Friday 7th March 2008. The second week will be from Tuesday 20th May until Friday 23rd May 2008.
The venue is most likely to be Chicago.
