BSW GCSE Drama
Exam Board: EDEXCEL
The course deals with the use of drama to explore ideas and issues in response to stimulus material selected from different times and cultures. A complete and substantial play is also explored through rehearsal techniques and activities with the objective of understanding how playwrights and performers, directors and designers use the medium of drama to communicate their ideas to an audience. Finally, the course is concerned with the skills required in drama to perform work to an audience. Students have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills as performers or in any theatre craft using any appropriate material as a stimulus for performance. An extant play script may be used for this purpose.
