BSB GCSE Physical Education
Exam Board: EDEXCEL
The course offers the opportunity to develop skills in a wide range of
sports and activities and helps the student to develop his or her own

involves participating in a range of practical activities, as well as
developing the knowledge to improve the student's own ability in these
activities. For students who enjoy sport this will therefore be a very
enjoyable course.

There is one examination at the end of the course. This lasts 1 hour
and 45 minutes and involves short questions which enable you to apply
your understanding of the factors affecting participation. The
examination accounts for 40% of the final mark.
Coursework: (60%) Throughout the course you will be learning and
developing new skills and activities through a range of different
activities. You will need to offer four activities for assessment and
in the final assessment you will need to analyse performance in one of
four chosen practical activities.
