SCHOLASTIC  BOOK FAIR

The Scholastic Book Fair is being held in the Primary Library on Tuesday 4th - Friday 7th November.
The Fair will be open for parents during the day and also during the Parent Evenings.
Primary Children will visit the fair with their class during the week.
A portion of the book sales will buy extra books for the library.

Opening Hours

  • Lower/Middle Library is open from 8.45 - 12.20. Closed for Lunch. Reopens at 1.15 - 3.20.
  • Upper School Library is open from 8.30 - 3.30. Open during morning break and lunch break. 

General

Maximum number of Books on loan

Key Stage 1 - 1 book
  • Key Stage 2 - 2 books
  • Key Stage 3 - 3 books
  • Key Stage 4 - 3 books
  • Key Stage 5 - 5 books
Once the book limit has been reached no further books can be issued until a borrowed book is returned to the library. Please remember to put your children's library books in their bags on their 'Library' day to avoid disappointment.
Children in Year 3 can also have an extra book as part of their reading scheme.

      Overdue Books

      Please return any overdue books once an overdue reminder has been sent home via your child. Books can be returned at any time by placing them in the 'Returned Books' box on the desk in the library.

      Damaged or Lost Books

      If the book is damaged or lost it is school policy that it has to be either replaced or paid for. A letter will be issued requesting replacement after a third reminder has been sent home or after we are told the book has been lost or damaged. Please contact the library quickly so we can help look for the book.

      Reading Information        

                Beginning readers are marked with a yellow dot on the book spines

                Confident beginning readers are marked with a green dot on the book spines

      Year 3 and 4 readers are marked with orange dots on the book spines.

      Y5 and 6 readers have especially selected books which are marked with blue dots.
