Frequent class and year group coffees and other social events. These are organized by your child's class representative. Your class representative can advise you about specific information to do with your child's class such as the class' homework schedules and upcoming class assemblies.- Parents Room and Information Board. This is very useful for things such as house rentals, second hand uniform sales, items for sale and wanted "car shares" for carpooling.
- Starbucks coffee shops on 43rd Street and Highway 290 or 34th Street and Highway 290 are popular hang outs for carpooling parents!
- BSH Parent/Staff Balls (a formal summer and informal Christmas event)
- Socials such as wine tasting, quiz nights, Spring Fair, organized by the BSH Sports and Social Association.
- Weekly Coffee morning for the wider ex-patriate Houston community.
- For those parents who don't regularly drive to school "Bus Stop" parents frequently arrange coffee morning or lunch.
- For younger children there are area playgroups, ‘Mothers Day Out' programmes, parks, zoos, book readings, free public plays, Gymboree classes and playgrounds. A Connections rep with pre school age children can help you find a friend for your toddler.
