BSB Academy of Etiquette
The British School of Boston is pleased to announce that starting in June 2008 we will debut the Academy of Etiquette with classes available to children, students and young adults throughout the Northeast. Classes will run weekends and on some after-school days.
The Academy of Etiquette was founded with the fundamental principle that Manners Really Do Make the Difference. This philosophy goes beyond Please and Thank you and acknowledges that the return to traditional values is bringing about a renaissance to the value of civility.
Each of us feels a sense of pride and accomplishment when we have handled ourselves well in any given situation. As we move through the 21st century, the guidelines for social conduct have changed. The me approach to social interaction is quickly being replaced by a return to traditional values, kinder and more respectful behaviors.
It is our belief that first impressions do matter!

As parents, we have all had an awkward moment with our child when their social graces were less than what we, or our child, would have wished.
We are pleased to offer classes in subjects that face our youth, not only in their day to day lives, but that help prepare them to move on to their futures, with the confidence and self-esteem to deal with any social situation.
From dining etiquette to communicating with confidence, preparing for an admissions interview, making eye contact and the proper handshake, our programmes have been developed to help your child build on social skills that they will use for a life time.
Kindly visit our Programme page to view course details and our Calendar page for course offerings. You may email us at mannersbsb@britishschool.org to request a registration form.
The Boys Social Education and Girls Social Education programmes will commence in September 2008. Registration will open in May for this popular series of classes.
With respect to our dining etiquette programme, we are finalising the venue for the final class which concludes with a formal 5 course dinner and will publish dates soon.
We thank you for your continued interest in the programmes we offer which encourage and extend the self-confidence of our youth.
Last, we encourage you to email us at mannersbsb@britishschool.org with any question you may have.
Cheers!
