Girls Social Education programme - for Grades 6th - 8th and 9th - 12th

Dining Etiquette
- For Boys & Girls Grades 3rd - 5th
- For Boys & Girls Grades 6th grade & up
- Continental & zig-zag styles of dining
- Using Silent Service at a restaurant
- Navigating and identifying the place setting
- Proper and improper table conversation
- The art of small talk
- Proper restaurant behaviour
- Course concludes with a 5-course dinner in a formal setting
Charmed, I'm Sure - for Young Ladies in Grades 3rd - 5th
Charmed, I'm Sure is a stimulating, entertaining and education programme in manners, poise, style and includes a primer in dining etiquette that will empower young ladies to reach their highest potential by building self-confidence in themselves and their social skills.
This half-day programme is an exciting course of instruction that engages each student in learning how to present themselves with visual poise and finese; discusses the difference between fashion and trends - what it means to develop their style; learn the importance of social etiquette and table manners through interactive exercises, role playing and lively conversations.
The young ladies will receive a lovely tote bag and a certificate of achievement.
Fee: $185.00 (includes light fare)
The Young Sophisticate - For Young Ladies 12 & up
We know that parents believe teaching young adults social skills and beauty habits is a vital part of parenting. But we as parents, also recognize that many times is the influence of another voice that reaches our child. Young ladies will learn how to present themselves with visual poise and finese; examine the differences between fashion and trends - what it means to develop their style; learn the importance of social etiquette and experience a primer in dining etiquette.This half-day programme helps young ladies deal with real situations that they encounter in their everyday lives. Each young lady is made to feel speical because she is special. A sample of topics include: Poise, posture and body language; Tips for overcoming shyness; Displaying self-confidence; Communication skills; What your public image says about you; Developing organisation and study skills; Health and fitness and Social Etiquette. After completing the course, young ladies are able to communicate more effectively, gain social savvy, and in general be at ease because they have knowledge in how to feel more self-confident in a variety of social situations.
The young ladies will receive a lovely tote bag and a certificate of achievement.

Courses are taught by Millie Downing, founder of The Etiquette School of New England, who has been ceritified by The American School of Protocol, Inc., as an Etiquette Consultant. Millie is a nationally recognized etiquette expert, image coach and speaker. She has given advice on etiquette and protocol for over fifteen years. Millie is also the founding author of the Miss Conduct column in the Sunday Boston Globe Magazine. She appeared monthly on NECN's Globe-at-Home, CBS4 and WBZ radio, where she answered questions on a wide variety of popular topics. As a nationally reconized expert in the field of business and social etiquette, Millie's advice is sought by national and local business leaders; she has appeared in many consumer publications coast to coast and is a regular contributor to Real Simple Magazine.
