We are the proud parents of two students at BASC. Our little ones' personalities are the polar opposites of each other with one being a quiet, reserved classmate and the other an outspoken leader. In addition, our son learns best visually and kinesthetically, while our daughter learns in equal parts from most methods. The most amazing thing has been the way in which BASC has been able to individualize the curriculum for each of our children.
This is my son's second year at BASC and we have been thrilled with the wonderful progression made since his arrival. His learning trajectory has made us both proud, frightened (at how quickly he will eclipse his parents' ability to help with homework!) and thrilled with his teachers. We only wish he had been at the school starting in Foundation I. Having those two years prior to Year 1, we can only imagine what else he might be doing along with his reading, writing, mathematics, French, Mandarin, etc.
For this reason we put our 3 year old daughter in Foundation I. She has blossomed almost overnight into a learning machine! She absolutely loves French, phonics, math, drawing, painting, dancing, singing and playing Mommy to unsuspecting boys in her class. She is a lighting rod of excitement when we pick her up at school, so proud of what she has learned and ready for more. We are in big trouble....
Far and away the most rewarding part of our family's experience is the wonderful friendships we have established. BASC is blessed with wonderful families (from around Charlotte and the world) focused on raising their children in an environment that understands and appreciates a global perspective.
